Ryan Roberts, MBA, is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a healthcare executive. As a member of 1st Battalion 2nd Marines, he deployed with Task Force Tarawa for the Iraq Invasion. He returned a year later to help secure the Al Anbar Province for Iraq’s first Democratic elections. For the better part of the next 19 years, he struggled with post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, and a host of symptoms resulting from multiple traumatic brain injuries.
Then in 2021, Ryan made his way to The Mission Within, where he discovered healing from their Ibogaine and 5-MeO-DMT clinical pathway. It was so profound that he repurposed his professional skill set to meet the growing need of veteran organizations in the psychedelic medicine space. Before joining The Mission Within, Ryan served in multiple leadership roles in healthcare. Most recently, as an executive in academic medicine at the University of Colorado, overseeing business and clinical operations for one of the largest surgical departments in the country.
He now supports The Mission Within research, marketing, and product development programs. He’s deeply passionate about changing the veteran narrative around psychedelics and increasing access to psychedelic-assisted therapy for the veteran community.
